The Webelos Den completed an achievement for their Craftsman badge last weekend, and celebrated the first Sunday of Advent by creating advent wreaths for their own family tables.
The boys learned about type of saws and their usage. The Scouts cut precise wood components using nothing more than a stick of wood, a mitre box, a hand saw, and a whole lot of muscle. The boys then assembled the pieces to create a wooden wreath. Some choose to stain their wreath, and others choose a natural wood. All Scouts will use their creation to help prepare their hearts for the coming of Jesus this season.
