Boy Scout Campout

Greeting Webelos Scouts,

Troop 811 has once again invited our Webelos Scouts to an overnighter with the troop in the SAM grove.  Webelos will be taught firemaking, knots, first aid, and other Scouting skills.  The overnighter starts on Saturday, Nov 21 at noon, and concludes by 10am on Sunday.   A parent is welcome, but not required to attend.  A parent may opt to drop off their Webslos Scout at noon, stay for dinner and the campfire on Saturday only, or spend the night.  There is no charge for Webelos Scouts, and a $5 charge for parents who stay for dinner.  Note this is a requirement for the AOL badge.  See more information on the flyer below.

Please let us know if you can make it on our sign up page HERE.

Webelos Earn Their Engineer Badge at UCLA

!P1080026.JPG
On Sunday, January 8, 2012, all eleven Stealth Bombers took a trip to UCLA’s Pauley Pavillion and met with former cub scout leader and engineer Mr. Mark Josten.  The visit included a tour of the current contruction to the Pauley Pavillion along with some engineering lectures by Mr. Josten.  A great time was had by all (even the USC fans) and the lunch stop at In & Out Burgers kept our future engineers from crumbling down!

Webelos I Stealth Bombers Brave the Cold at Oso Lake!

This past weekend, eleven Stealth Bombers braved the cold at Oso Lake for the very first camping trip as a den outside of Family Camp.  Over the weekend, the boys earned FOUR activity badges toward their rank.  Four campers stayed the second night to go out early and fish for bass and catfish!  A great time was had by all and great food prepared by Chef John D.!
