Urgent Popcorn Reminder!

Hello Scouts and Parents!

Don’t forget the deadline to place order for Show and Deliver popcorn orders is this Monday, August 31st.  This method of selling popcorn is one of the easiest!   Here’s how it works:

  1. You order your own bags of popcorn from our brilliant and ever-popular Pack 811 website.
  2. Your popcorn order will be ready for pick-up from your Pack Leadership team on September 19th
  3. Sell popcorn directly to customers face-to-face!  Research has shown that customers are much more willing to purchase if they can obtain the product immediately!  This method also saves a lot of time since your customers don’t have to wait for an order to be filled.  Also, it isn’t necessary to make a return visit to your customers to deliver their order or collect payment, since the transaction occurs up front!
  4. Money collected for the sale of popcorn will not be due until after you sell the popcorn.

Please click HERE to place your order no later than August 31st to ensure your desired inventory will be available for you.   Additional orders may be placed after this date, but will be limited to on-hand inventory. Please choose the amount carefully because you are responsible for all the popcorn and kits you order.

You can also take orders using the order form sent to you from Trail’s End.  You simply “take orders” from friends and family and deliver their popcorn and kits when the products arrive in November.  If you can’t find your order form, you may download a copy here.

Finally, we are working on the schedule for Show and Sell. We will be selling popcorn and kits at various local businesses and retailers. Details and schedules for these Show and Sell opportunities will follow as soon as the schedule is finalized, so stay tuned!  Any scout who participates in the Show and Sell shift will be included in a drawing for some cool prizes.

As on the past, the money earned through popcorn and first aid sales is essential to fund all of our events and awards. We need EVERY family to participate in some way.

Good luck everyone!

Yours in Scouting,

Jo Rivera

Are YOU Ready To Be A ‘Pop Star’?

Hello Scouts!

Although our Scouting year has just begun, it is time to get ready for our annual fundraising season.  We sell Trail’s End Popcorn and Right Response First Aid kits to raise money for our pack’s activities. Be on the lookout for your popcorn order form to be delivered in the mail from OCBSA.  The First Aid Kit order forms will be distributed at our next Pack Meeting on September 20th. There are a number of great prizes from OCBSA this year, and as usual, Pack 811 will have additional prizes and sales incentives for you!  We’ll give you those details at the Pack Meeting on September 20th as well.

You don’t have to wait to start accepting popcorn orders!  You may begin as soon as you receive your order form!  As an incentive, we will raffle off some other cool prizes for any scout who brings in just $100 in orders on their order sheet to our September Pack Meeting  We’ll have more details on this shortly.

We sell popcorn and kits in THREE WAYS. The first is by Take-Order. Using the order forms, you simply “take orders” from friends and family and deliver their popcorn and kits when the products arrive in November. The second method is Show and Sell. We will be selling popcorn and kits at various local businesses and retailers. Details and schedules for these Show and Sell opportunities will follow as soon as the schedule is finalized, so stay tuned!  Any scout who participates in the Show and Sell shift will receive credit for the popcorn sold and will be included in a drawing for some cool prizes.

The last method is Show and Deliver. You order your own bags of popcorn and kits which you can sell directly to customers door to door beginning September 19th. Please click HERE to place your order no later than August 31st. Please choose the amount carefully because you are responsible for all the popcorn and kits you order. There are no returns. Also, the Show and Deliver popcorn cannot be used to both fill your Take Order Sales and be counted as Show and Deliver. In other words, you cannot double count.

As on the past, the money earned through popcorn and first aid sales is essential to fund all of our events and awards. We need EVERY family to participate in some way.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email.  Additional popcorn order sheets can be found here.   Good luck and happy selling!

Hi Scouting Families !

I hope everyone had a fun Summer and you had a chance to join in some of our activities. As many of you know, the ending of the summer season brings the start of Cub Scout Popcorn season!  We sell Trail’s End Popcorn and RightResponse First Aid kits to raise money for our pack’s activities. You should have received the popcorn order forms in the mail by now and we will be passing out first aid kit order forms at our next meeting. There are a number of great prizes from OCBSA this year and I hope you get out there and start selling right away.

panelAs cool as those OCBSA rewards are, you know that we, at Pack 811, do it better. We have some BIG prizes for the top two sellers and some awesome prizes for those who sell a large amount of popcorn and first aid kits. We’ll give you the details about them at our first Pack Meeting on September 7th.

As a special incentive, we will raffle off a HD Google Android Tablet PC and some other cool prizes for any scout who brings in just $100 in orders on their order sheet, or orders $100 in Show-N-Deliver product by our September Pack Meeting.

We sell popcorn and kits in THREE WAYS. The first is by Take-Order. Using the order forms, you simply “take orders” from friends and family and deliver their popcorn and kits on November 16. The second method is Show and Sell. The last, and easiest, method is Show and Deliver. You order your own bags of popcorn and kits which you can sell directly to customers door to door beginning September 21nd.  There is no need to return a second time to deliver the popcorn, and there is no money due until after you sell the popcorn.   Please click HERE to place your order no later than September 1 to be sure to get the inventory you would like. Additional orders can be placed after September 1, but they will be limited to on hand inventory. Please choose the amount carefully because you are responsible for all the popcorn and kits you order. Popcorn Fundraiser: It’s almost over!

Hi Scouts and Scout Families,

As quickly as popcorn season got here, it is now almost over.  All of you did a terrific job at the Show-n-Sell at the church and the banks. 46 scouts sold close to $3000 in product in those three days. Those scouts are now eligible for the raffle of the iPods and other cool prizes at our pack meeting on Sunday, October 21st at St. Angela Abraham Room.

For those of you who are interested in selling bags of popcorn in your own neighborhood or Show-n-Deliver, we have some inventory left.  Click HERE to go to our Pack store and order some of the remaining popcorn.  Supplies are very limited and will not last long.  We’ll arrange a pick up with you.

The Take Order forms for both the popcorn and first aid kits are due by Friday, October 26.  I must have those in or else we cannot order your products.  If you have been collecting money along with your orders, we can take those too.  Please exchange all collected cash for a check made out to the pack prior to turning your money. You can either give them to me or to Mr. Remley.

Popcorn distribution will be on Saturday, November 17 at St. Angela and all the money will be due on Friday, December 7.

I can’t tell you how terribly proud we are of all of you.  We are so close to earning enough money for our new Pinewood Derby Track.  Don’t stop until you hit your goal!!!

2012 Popcorn and First Aid Kit fundraiser

Hi Scouts,
Our fundraising season has officially started.  We sell Trail’s End Popcorn and RightResponse First Aid kits to raise money for our pack’s activities. You should have received the popcorn order forms in the mail by now and I will be passing out first aid kit order forms at our next meeting.  There are a number of great prizes from OCBSA this year and I hope you get out there and start selling right away.

As good as OCBSA rewards our scouts, you know that we, at Pack 811, do it better.  We have special prizes for the top two sellers and some awesome prizes for those who sell a large amount of popcorn and first aid kits.  I’ll give you the details about them at our first Pack Meeting on September 16.

As an incentive, we will raffle off an iPod Shuffle and some other prizes for any scout who brings in just $100 in orders to our September Pack Meeting.

We sell popcorn and kits in THREE WAYS.  The first is by Take-Order. Using the order forms,  you simply “take orders” from friends and family and deliver their popcorn and kits on November 17.  The second method is Show and Sell.  We will be selling popcorn and kits at S.A.M. church on Sunday, September 23 and Bank of America and Popular bank on Friday September 28 and Saturday, September 29. Each scout is limited to one shift for the Church AND one shift for the banks.  Please click here to sign up for the shifts.  Any scout who participates will be in a drawing for 1 of 4 iPod shuffles.  A shift at church is 1 raffle ticket and a shift at the bank is 3 raffle tickets.

The last method is Show and Deliver.  You order your own bags of popcorn and kits which you can sell directly to customers door to door beginning September 22nd.  Please click here to place your order no later than September 3.  Please choose the amount carefully because you are responsible for all the popcorn and kits you order.  There are no returns.  Also, the Show and Deliver popcorn cannot be used to fill your Take Order Sales.  In other words, you cannot double count.

In the past, the money earned through popcorn helped fund all of our outings and awards.  This year, we will be saving it to purchase something truly awesome for the Pack that will benefit our scouts for many years.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email us. I have extra order sheets if you need them.  Good luck and happy selling.

Three Ways to Sell Popcorn and First Aid Kits!

Three ways to sell popcorn and first aid kits

Hi Scouts!
We now have 3 ways to sell popcorn and first aid kits.
The first one you know about, the Take Home Orders.  You take your order forms and go door-to-door.  Your customer chooses the products they want to buy and you deliver it on November 19th.

The second way is Show-n-Sell.  This is when we sell popcorn and kits directly to customers at  St. Angela Merici Church and at the banks.  There is a couple of little twists this year.  At St. Angela, we can only have 4  boys selling at each mass on Saturday September 24th, and Sunday, September 25th and each scout MUST have a parent present.  The shift is 45 minutes so sign up as soon as possible.

We will be selling at two banks, Bank of America and Banco Popular, on Friday, September 30th and Saturday October 1, and each shift is only 1 1/2 hours long.  We need as many boys as we can for these days.

Each shift at church, earns you ONE raffle ticket.  Shifts at the banks are worth TWO raffle tickets.  We will be raffling off iPrizes at our pack meeting in October.

Our newest way to sell is Show-n-Deliver.  Scouts will be able to order their own separate set of popcorn and kits . Customers are able to select from your product selection.  You then hand over the product and collect the money right then and there.  Place your order before September 2nd from the link below and you will receive your shipment on September 24th.  You are responsible for these items and payment for them is due on November 1.  If you are unable to sell your products by October 22nd, you can return up to 10% of your order to us.  Please choose carefully.

You can find the copies order forms, Show-n-Sell schedule, and Show-n-Deliver order site in the link below.

Click here for our POPCORN page.

Good Luck and Happy Selling!!!

Scouts Aim for Big Prizes!

Just TWO more weeks remain for our biggest fundraiser of the year.  So far our scouts have done a fantastic job – selling almost 30% more in this year’s show and sell events than last year’s.  With the addition of the first aid kit option, we expect big numbers for those take home sales as well! Besides helping parents lower their costs for camp and other pack events, your scout’s sales also help earn themselves some very cool prizes!  Mr. Wemple will be awarding the first of these prizes with an iPod Shuffle raffle for those who worked a shift at the Church or banks at tomorrow’s pack meeting.  Click on the prize sheet to see all of the prizes available this year.

All take home order sheets must be turned into your Den Leader,  Mr. Lising or Mr. Remley by Saturday, October 30th. Any order sheet turned in late will not have any popcorn available for it. If possible, please retain a copy of your order form before turning in the original.    Just an idea – your scout will be in his Class A uniform after tomorrow’s pack meeting – this would be a great time to to give more neighbors a chance to buy some popcorn and first aid.  If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact our Popcorn Kernel.
