Pack 811 Cub Scouts Earn Religious Emblems

On January 26th, Fr. Michael Hanifin, Chaplin for the National Catholic Committee on Scouting, celebrated Mass with Catholic Scouts and families from Orange County, and medals were presented to Scouts who earned religious emblems.

To encourage Scouts to fulfill their Duty to God, two programs for Catholic Cub Scouts – Light of Christ and Parvuli Dei – help boys strengthen their relationship with Christ and the Church, and develop greater appreciation for God’s creation and the importance of serving others.

Pack 811 proudly congratulates our Cub Scouts for earning their well-deserved emblems, and for their parents and families who supported them!

At the same ceremony, the Catholic Committe on Scouting for the Diocese of Orange also honored Pack 811 with the Pope Paul VI Quality Catholic Unit Award. This year, the award was given to only 2 Catholic Scouting units in Orange County that provide exceptional, all-around recruitment, training, educational, and religious programs for their youth and adults.
