Mighty Bears Zip Over the OC

The Mighty Bear Den went Zip-Lining at the OC Outdoor Education Center last weekend, flying through the air with the greatest of ease. The Scouts got their land legs back just in time for the day’s adventure after their kayaking excursion the week before. Only a few bugs were eaten before the flying bears learned to keep their mouth closed during flight. One parent even allowed the staff to demonstrate their their latest rescue technique. Bears Take Over Newport Harbor

The Mighty Bear Den boarded kayaks in Newport Harbor last weekend, maneuvering their small crafts around sailboats, yachts, and other vessels in the harbor. Some Bears had to row with their parent as dead weight behind them. One parent and scout team even demonstrated a man-over-board drill. A great time was had by all. Tigers Roam the Hills of Oak Canyon

The Tiger Den roared through Oak Canyon Nature Center last weekend. The fearless group hiked high and low, enjoying the natural beauty of the canyon, and followed the leave-no-trace principles that they learned in their den meeting. No animal or stick was harmed. Troop 811 Fundraiser at Lomeli’s

Hi Pack Families,

Our friends in Boy Scout Troop 811 are have a fundraiser next Tuesday, May 1st, at Lomeli’s Italian Restaurant. All we are being asked to do is to enjoy a delicious Italian lunch or dinner, and give THIS FLYER to the server. Lomeli’s will donate 20% of your bill to the the troop for their summer camp. Many of the boys in Troop 811 started their scouting careers here in our Pack. It would be great if we can continue to support them.

Help Plant a Tree this Thursday

All Cub Scouts are invited to help the city of Brea plant trees in celebration of Arbor Day this Thursday, April 26 at 3:30 p.m. in the afternoon. Scouts will meet at Founder’s Park, which is located near the NW corner of Berry Street and Central Avenue in Brea (you may also google 777 Skyler Way, Brea, 92821). Please wear your yellow Class-B shirt along with pants and shoes that can get dirty.
