Fishermen Get Ready for Saturday!

Pack 811 is getting ready to catch some fish this weekend at Huckleberry Pond. We will meet at the pond at 8:00 sharp for instructions.  Please plan on arriving a little early.

Huckleberry Pond is a small pond near the Santa Ana River Lakes.  Fishing licenses are not required.  Bait is provided free.  Rod and reel rental is $3.00 if you do not own your own. The pond is small and heavily stocked so everyone is guaranteed to catch a fish. The pond charges $5.00 a pound for the fish you catch. The pond has employees who will clean your fish for you if you are squeamish.

Huckleberry Pond is located on the grounds of the Santa Ana River Lakes off of the 91 freeway in the city of Anaheim. From the 91 freeway exit the Tustin Ave off ramp go North. Turn right, East at the first intersection which is La Palma Ave. Continue East to the entrance, about 1/2 mile.

Park in the parking lot before the Santa Ana River Lakes gatehouse. The Santa Ana River Lakes charges an entry fee. You do not have to pay the fee for Huckleberry Pond.

Welcome to our new website!

Building on the great work that Dean Gialamas did on our first website, we are pleased to announce the newly revised cubpack811.org!

This website uses blogging technology to create a more interactive site that will consistently have current information that you can use and enjoy.  Den leaders will be able to post their own announcements and calendar items, and then have relevant items emailed to appropriate groups.

Please be sure to visit our “Parent’s Resources” pages and find out what is happening next via our Pack Calendar.  There’s even a few links that cub scouts will enjoy as well.

Please excuse the “dust” while we finalize the content and formatting of our new web presence.  Feel free to take a look around and send your feed back to Jim, aka webmaster@cubpack811.org.
