The Tigers Prepare to Roar in February

Another busy month is in store for the Tiger Den.  Our next Den meeting is this Sunday, February 7th (Scout Sunday) at 11:00 at the SAM lunch area.  Our theme this month is “Family”.   Please be on time to participate in the cool game that Mr. Jamison has planned.

Family Scrap Book: Scouts will be constructing a “family scrap book” at the meeting.  Please bring 5 – 8 photos (or color copies of photos) that your son can paste into his scrapbook. This will be the last “den” requirement needed for the Tiger Badge.
Share Time: Scouts will share what their favorite family activity is.  We will also learn a magic trick that the scouts can demonstrate at home for the rest of their families.

Rosary Series:
Those scouts that have finished the two Rosary Mysteries series we have been working on (The Joyful Mysteries and the Luminous Mysteries) will have a short review at the meeting with Mrs. Biederstadt.  Click on the patches for the Summary and coloring pages.

Emergency Preparedness Award:
Those scouts that have finished the Emergency Preparedness Award requirements may turn in their sign off sheets.  Remember that this also accomplishes Tiger Requirements 3f(a) and 3f(b).

Tiger Advancement:
A link to the achievement record can now be found on the Tiger Den Page.  The password required to open the spreadsheets will be emailed to den families.  Please be sure to email Jim R all accomplished achievements prior to Feb 16 in order for them to be awarded at the Blue and Gold luncheon.  We have several scouts very close to earning their Tiger Badge, however,  there is plenty of time after the Blue and Gold for all scouts to earn the badge.

The Tigers Hit the Trail!

After being washed out a few times by mother nature, the Tigers will be hitting the trail near Carbon Canyon this Friday afternoon, Jan 29.  Scouts will meet at the SAM benches at 2:50pm in their Class ‘B’ uniforms.   Comfortable shoes, a small water bottle, and a compass are recommended.  Permission slips and a designated adult partner are required if a parent cannot attend.

Tiger Hike Postponed Today

As much as I’m sure our boys would love to march through the mud today, it looks like this rain will force us to postpone the hike again.  The extended forecast looks good for next week, so please keep Friday, the 29th open.

Hope you are keeping dry!

Welcome to our new website!

Building on the great work that Dean Gialamas did on our first website, we are pleased to announce the newly revised cubpack811.org!

This website uses blogging technology to create a more interactive site that will consistently have current information that you can use and enjoy.  Den leaders will be able to post their own announcements and calendar items, and then have relevant items emailed to appropriate groups.

Please be sure to visit our “Parent’s Resources” pages and find out what is happening next via our Pack Calendar.  There’s even a few links that cub scouts will enjoy as well.

Please excuse the “dust” while we finalize the content and formatting of our new web presence.  Feel free to take a look around and send your feed back to Jim, aka webmaster@cubpack811.org.
